| Origin / Inspiration: | I created Veska because I wanted to get involved in a potential storyline within StrongWind Wing. That Wing is full of gung-ho types, so I decided to base a character on someone who would fit right in: Private Vasquez from Aliens. Granted, Veska is not an exact clone because I wanted her to be a bit more three-dimensional, but Vasquez is her main influence. In the picture below, replace the cross necklace with a braided leather choker, change the handkerchief to a Pernese design, get rid of the dog tags, add a StrongWind tattoo on her right shoulder, and that's basically Veska. |
| What she most wants: | Veska wishes that the authorities at the Weyr weren't such spoilsports about her risky behavior. She knows that's never going to happen, though. |
| What she most fears: | Veska doesn't fear much of anything. The only thing that really fills her with dread is the thought of losing Deoth. |
| If she lived on Earth: | Veska would probably be in the army, or else a professional athlete. |
