Darby -- F, H=brown, E=blue, HT=6'0". A self-reliant, low-key, easy-going, confident, and industrious young woman. Her gold Evath died in 2855.07.18; now a herder. Sister of D'zan, "auntie" of Kip. Owns Rawhide, buckskin stallion.

What's important to know about this character: She's a tough cookie and a survivor, for all of her easy-going demeanor. And boy, can she cuss...

Character inspiration/history: A Discovery channel science show on tornadoes was the inspiration for this character, believe it or not. I saw the show, thought about how it would be great to write about a holder who was displaced from her home by a twister... and a few days later, was asked if I wanted a gold at Kadanzer. Unfortunately, I found that I enjoyed this persona more as a herder than a goldrider -- I was grateful when the rest of the club BOD allowed me to kill of Darby's gold, so I can start working on ranch stories...

When you visit this persona's home, what do you find? A comfortable, lived-in mess. She's not a home-keeper. Pieces of tack to be mended, the bed's unmade (and probably the sheets overdue a wash), dirty boots, clothes pushed into a storage trunk in a rather un-folded fashion...

If this character were a dog, what kind of dog would he/she be? A mixed-breed, most definitely. Probably a heeler/lab cross -- a good overall dog who probably had some housebreaking issues as a pup, who may bark a little too long and loud today, but is a quick learner when it comes to hunting or herding (or simply catching frisbees).
